What is Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a simple and effective method of treatment which can help with a multitude of symptoms and conditions. It prompts the unconscious mind to make the changes YOU want so that you can start to lead the life that you want and deserve.
It is a wonderful collaborative process which allows you to access your inner resources to make the positive changes that up until now you thought were not possible.
Hypnosis itself is a completely normal and natural state of altered awareness which can be likened to daydreaming. Contrary to popular belief it is NOT sleep and you remain in complete control throughout. In this naturally occurring state your mind and body become perfectly relaxed whilst your inner mind becomes more alert and open to positive suggestions.

I work closely with you to break old inhibiting thought patterns and habits and introduce new ways to think and behave, working towards YOUR goal. The Havening Technique is a science based psychosensory therapy originating in the US by Dr Ronald Ruden. It changes the structure of the brain to effect positive change on the mind and body. It is particularly useful as a tool for dealing with stressful life events and traumatic memories for the likes of PTSD, phobias and anxiety.
Havening is literally translated to ‘putting into a safe place.’ Using the Havening Technique changes the neural pathways associated with fear and allows us to formulate new, positive responses and a healthier mindset. If you find yourself constantly re-living past events or having flashbacks and unable to move beyond stressful situations from the past, then the Havening Technique is perfect for you. It allows you to move beyond past conditioning, to build your inner resilience and re-gain control so you can live more in the present moment.
The therapy is a completely transformative process and the client is also taught self-help tools to aid in their day to day life. The program consists of 4 sessions which can be done in person or via skype.

What is Reiki
Reiki is an age old Japanese tradition which induces relaxation and reduces stress. The word Reiki is derived from two words ‘Rei’ and ‘ki’ which translate into ‘universal life force energy.’ It is commonly referred to nowadays as ‘healing hands.’ This life force energy is channelled by the therapist to the client to support the body’s own natural ability to heal itself and you will often feel heat or a tingling sensation and an overall feeling of complete relaxation.
How does it help
In the fast paced nature of our everyday lives we often neglect to take time out for ourselves. Reiki helps to restore balance to the body whether this be on a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual level. It promotes a feeling of inner peace and wellbeing and clients often report feelings of mental calmness and feeling refreshed after having a reiki session. It can help with the symptoms of chronic illness, pain, fatigue, anxieties and help to support post-surgery recovery and much more. Everyone’s experience of reiki is individual and often the experience grows with each session. It is very important to keep well hydrated in the days following reiki by drinking lots of water to flush out any toxins from the body.

Virtual Gastric Band
The Virtual Gastric Band is a suitable procedure for anyone who is considering Gastric Band surgery or has a BMI of 25 or above. Using suggestion, visualisation and behavioural techniques you will feel as if you have undergone real gastric band surgery around the upper part of your stomach. It is an approach that works for clients who want to lose weight safely and permanently over a period of time and taps into the unconscious to make REAL CHANGE possible. The most important factor is that you are ready and willing to fully engage in the process and put in the effort required on your part.
How will it feel
After surgery you will notice that while you are eating you start to feel fuller much more quickly than usual. As part of a healthy eating plan you will also start to enjoy healthier, lighter foods and make positive choices when it comes to food and lifestyle.
In the first session an assessment will be made as to your suitability for the virtual procedure. Not everyone will be suitable and other weight loss options will be discussed in this instance. A detailed case history will be taken to ascertain eating habits and to identify a realistic goal for weight loss. This will then be followed by Virtual Gastric Band hypnosis.
The first 3 sessions should be scheduled one week apart and the gastric band ‘surgery’ will be carried out in the 3rd session. The 4th session should be scheduled 2 weeks after the actual procedure. As well as receiving hypnotherapy you will also be given homework tasks including recordings to be listened to in your own time to reinforce the suggestions given.
The Virtual Gastric Band is a package and it is important that all 4 sessions are completed. If you are suitable for the procedure then £150 must be paid at the first session and the remaining balance paid by the 2nd session.
